Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell, 56, the American UFC legend who helped drive the sport's rise in the mid-2000s, has taken legal action against his ex-wife Heidi Liddell, accusing her of kidnapping their daughter.

According to TMZ, Liddell filed an emergency custody motion Thursday with the Los Angeles County Superior Court seeking full custody of his 14-year-old daughter, Guinevere, and asking that she be returned to him.

Liddell held the UFC light heavyweight title with a career record of 21 wins and nine losses, drawing a worldwide following for his explosive striking style — powered by his 188-centimeter frame and long reach. He maintained a signature Mohawk hairstyle throughout his career and also worked as an actor, appearing in more than 10 films in lead and supporting roles.

TMZ, which said it obtained the filing, reported that Liddell alleges Heidi kidnapped Guinevere last week just before the teenager was set to begin high school, manipulating her into relocating to Orange County in violation of a court order. Liddell also claimed Heidi had first attempted to take their 13-year-old son, Charlie, before turning to Guinevere.

In the filing, Liddell said his ex-wife had stopped using a court-mandated co-parenting communication app and had failed to follow the custody schedule ordered by the court.

He told the court that Guinevere would suffer irreparable harm by missing the first week of school and that he feared she could be cut from the volleyball team she had tried out for over the summer. He also said the situation was causing their younger son significant stress and confusion.

Heidi pushed back on the allegations in an interview with TMZ, denying that she kidnapped Guinevere and saying the teenager had instead pleaded with her to be taken away from her father's home.

"For the five years since our divorce, Chuck has been obsessed with controlling and interfering in my life," Heidi said. "The kids don't feel safe being honest with him right now."

The couple married in 2011 and presented a united front for more than a decade before finalizing their divorce in April 2025, four years after proceedings began.
