Actor Hong Min-gi has been swept up in allegations of dating violence and threats.

An influencer identified only as A, who has 20,000 Instagram followers, posted a lengthy exposé and a legal notice document to her Instagram story early Wednesday, targeting Hong.

According to the legal notice, A retained a law firm on July 28 and sent Hong a document titled "Notice of Impending Legal Action for Illegal Criminal Conduct."

A alleged that Hong "threw a soju bottle at her on the street, shattering it, causing fear and serious psychological trauma," and that he "made more than 40 phone calls while suspecting her of infidelity, threatening to kill them both." She further claimed he "struck her hard on the shoulder, shoved her, and grabbed her by the throat."

She also alleged that he "secretly read her KakaoTalk messages out of pathological jealousy, violating her privacy," and that he "put her on an electric scooter while drunk and drove it, causing her serious injury."

A tagged photos of Hong along with his agency's social media account, writing, "The person in the previous story — this is about him."

Hong, born in 2002, made his debut in 2020 and drew attention playing the younger version of Joo Ji-hoon's character in the drama series "Love Your Enemy." He has since appeared in "Study Group," "Eun-ae-haneun Dojeoknim-a" and "Doctor Sumboy," and recently wrapped filming on season 2 of the Tving original series "Study Group."
