World-renowned soprano Jo Su-mi visited a special exhibition mounted to mark the 40th anniversary of her international debut.

Jo toured Gallery Art Cube 2R2 in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on Thursday alongside visitors to the show. The exhibition, titled "CONTINUUM: Song of the Four Seasons," reinterprets her four-decade musical journey through the lens of the four seasons — spring, summer, autumn and winter.

Moving through the three-floor exhibition space, Jo viewed paintings and sculptural works that reimagine her career in visual form. The show also features archival materials documenting her life as a performer, including dresses worn on stage, medals, concert posters and photographs. On the first floor and the floor below, three performance gowns created for Jo by designer Seo Seung-yeon's label Denischer by Seo Seung-yeon are on display.

After the tour, the Gyeonggi Nuri Youth Orchestra, led by conductor Han Sang-hun, performed a celebratory concert honoring Jo's 40-year artistic journey.

"Seeing the 40 years I have walked reborn in a single space, through the eyes of so many artists, fills me with deep emotion," Jo said. "As I walked through the exhibition, the moments I felt on stage came back to me one by one." She added that she felt a renewed sense of gratitude to see four decades of her life brought together in a single exhibition.

Hong Ji-suk, chief executive of Art Token and Art Cube 2R2, said Jo's personal walk through the gallery — pausing to reflect on the stories behind each space — gave the exhibition special meaning. "Going forward, we plan to continue offering new artistic experiences where music and visual art come together, through a multidisciplinary cultural platform that organically connects exhibitions, performances and encounters with artists," Hong said.

"CONTINUUM: Song of the Four Seasons" features 17 Korean artists and traces Jo's 40-year musical journey through the flow of the seasons, exploring the intersection of music and contemporary art. The exhibition runs through Saturday.

Jo is set to meet Korean audiences at a concert marking the 40th anniversary of her international debut at Seoul Arts Center Concert Hall on Sept. 4.
