Golfzon Co., led by CEO Park Kang-su, said Tuesday it will host the "Shabu20 G Tour Super Match," an invitational event featuring top players from the G Tour — South Korea's leading screen golf tour — beginning with quarterfinal matches on Thursday.
The G Tour Super Match, held since 2024, this year features premium shabu-shabu brand Shabu20 as its title sponsor. Sixteen male and female professionals from the G Tour will compete for a total purse of 30 million won ($21,200), with the winner taking home 13 million won.
On the men's side, participants include Kim Hong-taek, known for competing on both field and screen golf; Lee Sung-hoon, a multiple winner across 26 seasons; and Jang Jeong-woo, who claimed his first career victory. Also entering are Lee Yong-hee 1, who had a strong 2025 season, and Lee Se-jin 2, who has finished runner-up four times this year, along with Kim Min-su, Lee Jeong-ung and Shim Hyeon-u.
The women's field is headlined by Lee Jin-gyeong, who won two major titles on the WG Tour this season and leads the season points standings, and Han Ji-min, a seven-time career winner. Moon Seo-hyeong, who has built a strong fan following, will also compete, joined by Yun Gyu-mi, 26th-season rookie standout Lee Ga-gyeong, and Bae Jin-ri, Kim Su-a 2 and Kim Se-yeong 1, all of whom have posted consistently strong results this season.
The tournament will be held at the Golfzon Tower Seoul Media Studio in a mixed-gender, two-player team format, with seven matches deciding the champion through a single-elimination bracket. The quarterfinals open Thursday with matches 1 and 2, followed by matches 3 and 4 on Aug. 28. Two semifinal matches will be held Aug. 29, with the two finalists meeting in the championship match the same evening at 6:30 p.m.
All matches are played as 18-hole stroke play: 12 holes use a foursome format in which teammates alternate shots with a single ball, while the remaining six holes are played individually. Each round — quarterfinals, semifinals and final — will be contested on a different course, adding a strategic dimension to the team competition.
