Global e-commerce platform Cafe24 announced Tuesday it will introduce an "AI traffic domain" analytics feature that allows merchants to compare customer inflow, purchases and sales performance across major AI services including ChatGPT and Gemini.
The feature enables operators of direct-to-consumer, or D2C, online stores to view key metrics — inflow, purchases and sales — broken down by AI service on a single screen, and to build channel-specific strategies based on actual performance data.
As generative AI becomes a primary channel for product discovery, Cafe24 said it had already analyzed inflow data from D2C stores on its platform and confirmed that customer traffic and purchases driven by generative AI are rising rapidly.
In that earlier analysis, visits to stores via major generative AI services such as ChatGPT and Gemini reached approximately 850,000 in the second quarter of 2026, up 72 percent from the same period a year earlier. The purchase conversion rate for AI-referred visits rose 70 percent year-on-year, while the number of orders surged 195 percent.
The surge in AI-driven traffic has translated directly into higher purchases and orders. In response, Cafe24 developed the new feature to help store operators precisely measure the performance and contribution of each AI service.
The feature covers 15 AI services in total — from widely used platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity to emerging ones including Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI. Rather than simply aggregating AI-driven traffic, the feature breaks down how much of the inflow from each service converted into actual purchases and sales.
Store operators can view six metrics for each AI service on a single screen: number of visits, share of total inflow, number of purchases, purchase rate, sales amount and share of total sales. This allows merchants to compare which AI services drive the most traffic, which yield the highest purchase rates and which contribute most to revenue, giving a concrete picture of how each service affects store performance.
The feature is available through Cafe24 Analytics, the company's data-driven store management service. Cafe24 Analytics integrates data across store operations — including sales, visitors and conversion rates — and provides insights such as multichannel analysis and purchase funnel analysis. The addition extends its capabilities to cover not only AI-driven customer inflow but also the resulting purchases and sales.
The AI traffic domain analytics feature is available free of charge to subscribers of the Cafe24 Analytics premium plan and to Cafe24 Pro customers. The company said it plans to continue enhancing the feature by adding newly emerging AI services to the list of tracked platforms.
"As generative AI establishes itself as a genuine commerce channel, accurately understanding inflow and purchase performance by AI service is becoming a new competitive edge," said Lee Jae-seok, CEO of Cafe24. "We will continue to advance our AI traffic analytics and GEO technology so that online businesses can connect with more customers and drive better results in an AI-driven environment."
