Director Christopher Nolan's "Odyssey" has surpassed 3 million admissions in just 10 days, sustaining its box office momentum into a second week on the back of overwhelming advance ticket sales.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated ticketing network, "Odyssey" recorded cumulative admissions of 3,047,856 as of 6:46 a.m. Friday, crossing the 3 million mark on its 10th day of release. The film had already passed 1 million admissions on its fourth day and 2 million on its sixth.

Advance ticket sales point to an even stronger run ahead. With the Liberation Day holiday weekend approaching, "Odyssey" has logged 1,014,730 advance tickets sold — surpassing the 930,000 advance tickets "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" recorded on its opening day, making it the highest single advance-sales figure this year.

Particularly notable is that advance sales have held consistently strong into the second week, crossing the 1 million mark after opening — a pattern seen previously only with all-time blockbusters such as "Avengers: Endgame" and "Avatar: The Way of Water."

"Odyssey" is a blockbuster based on Homer's classic epic poem. The film follows the hero Odysseus, who led the Greeks to victory in the Trojan War, on his decade-long journey home to Ithaca as he overcomes trials sent by the gods.

According to Box Office Mojo, "Odyssey" has overtaken Nolan's previous top-grossing film, "The Dark Knight Rises," which earned $1.09 billion, making "Odyssey" the highest-grossing film of his career.
