Hanssol PNS has completed copyright registration for seven proprietary manufacturing IT solutions and filed patents for core technologies behind its AI platform tailored for the manufacturing sector. The move reinforces the company's intellectual property position amid growing demand among manufacturers for AI transformation, or AX, beyond conventional digital transformation.

The company announced Thursday it has completed software copyright registration for seven in-house manufacturing IT solutions, including MES (manufacturing execution system), WMS (warehouse management system), ESH (environment, safety and health), PAM (facility asset management) and I'MFACTO AI Atlas.

Hanssol PNS said the registrations represent the formal protection of technologies it has built up over more than 30 years in the manufacturing IT sector. The registered software covers applications used on the factory floor for production, logistics, and safety and environmental management.

For I'MFACTO AI Atlas, its AI platform purpose-built for manufacturing, the company has also filed three patents covering core technologies. While copyright protects the software programs themselves, patents secure rights over the underlying technical ideas and implementation methods — a distinction Hanssol PNS is leveraging to broaden the scope of protection for its manufacturing IT technology.

I'MFACTO AI Atlas is a manufacturing-focused AI platform that integrates with existing manufacturing IT solutions such as MES to support production process analysis, quality prediction, anomaly detection and workflow automation. Its core function is connecting production data accumulated on the factory floor with AI capabilities to help manufacturers advance their AX.

"Hanssol PNS's manufacturing IT solutions are being deployed at overseas facilities, expanding their reach in global manufacturing environments," a company official said. "We will continue to build our core intellectual property portfolio — including copyrights and patents — to support the AX of manufacturers both at home and abroad."
