Homeplus said it will reopen 67 stores Thursday that had been temporarily closed last month.

The 67 stores have been running soft openings since Aug. 7 for final operational checks ahead of the official reopening. Inspections and any remaining fixes are set to be completed by Wednesday before the Thursday reopening. Of the 67 locations, 59 will also resume online operations in tandem with the physical reopening.

The company has prepared a series of opening promotions. MyHomeplus members will receive up to 50 percent off all Hanwoo beef products from Thursday through Sept. 4. From Friday through Sept. 3, Dangdang Fried Chicken will be offered at a 50 percent discount for 3,490 won.

Domestic pork — including samgyeopsal and pork neck cuts under the Ilpum Pork brand — will be discounted 40 percent to 1,980 won per 100 grams. Rotating deals of up to 50 percent off or buy-one-get-one offers will also apply to meat, seafood, fruit, snacks, beverages, deli items and baked goods throughout the promotional period. The reopening campaign runs through the end of August.

"Please continue to support Homeplus so we can get back on our feet," a company official said. "We will repay our customers by offering quality products at affordable prices."
