Genesis BBQ Group announced Wednesday it will introduce digital frying oil quality meters at BBQ company-owned stores across the country.
The device allows store staff to check the condition of frying oil on-site. When a measurement sensor is submerged in the oil, it reads the Total Polar Materials (TPM) content — a key quality indicator — and displays the result as a numerical value.
Results appear instantly, enabling on-site monitoring and management of oil quality. The device also connects via Bluetooth to smartphones or tablets, allowing measurement data to be logged and tracked digitally.
"Starting with company-owned stores, we plan to actively introduce quality management systems and are also reviewing plans to expand them to franchise stores in the future," a BBQ official said. "We will raise our quality management standards so we can provide customers with better products and service."
