LG Display will hold an admissions briefing on Aug. 24 at LG Science Park in Magok, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, targeting prospective students and parents interested in the Display Convergence Engineering program at Yonsei University.

The briefing will cover a program introduction, an overview of LG Display, guidance on admissions procedures and a conversation session with current students. Attendance requires advance online registration.

The Display Convergence Engineering program is a contract department jointly operated by LG Display and Yonsei University, aimed at training specialists who can contribute immediately in an industry setting.

LG Display and Yonsei University jointly design the curriculum and provide on-site training opportunities during enrollment. Students receive scholarships and tuition subsidies and are guaranteed employment at LG Display upon graduation.

The program has admitted 120 students over the past four years. Early admissions recruitment for the 2027 academic year opens Sept. 7. LG Display said it hopes to secure talent with both theoretical and practical expertise amid intensifying competition for technological supremacy in OLED.

Through the Yonsei University Display Convergence Engineering program, LG Display plans to build a one-stop pipeline from admission to employment, strengthening its technology leadership.

"The only way for our country to maintain technology leadership is to secure talent," an LG Display official said. "We will present a roadmap for growth into talent that can lead K-display technology leadership in the global market — going beyond simply earning a degree — and create a foundation for leaping forward together as a technology-driven company."
