Seongju Library in North Gyeongsang Province will begin accepting applications Tuesday for its second-half lifelong education program, which offers 10 courses covering hobbies, arts and literacy. The library is recruiting 152 participants on a first-come, first-served basis through its website, with registration open through Aug. 28.

The program aims to support residents' self-fulfillment and well-being through tailored courses for different age groups, reinforcing the library's role as a community lifelong-learning institution.

Children's courses focus on literacy, economics and AI applications, designed to build creativity and reading skills suited to the digital age.

Particularly notable this term is an expanded AI-based creative program open to families, giving both children and parents the chance to develop the digital skills and communication abilities needed for the future.

Adult courses include watercolor calligraphy, acoustic guitar, and smartphone and AI applications — a range of hands-on programs designed to nurture artistic sensibility and digital literacy.

"I hope these lifelong education courses give residents a meaningful opportunity to discover their own potential," said Lee Eun-hee, director of Seongju Library. "We will continue to offer a variety of lifelong learning programs that reflect the community's educational needs."
