Daegu Haany University announced Tuesday that its International Cooperation Leading University Project team successfully ran a beauty care service training program in Vietnam aimed at strengthening the vocational skills of local women.

The program ran from July 25 to 26 at Minh Trang Academy and Van Lang University in Ho Chi Minh City, drawing about 60 participants — roughly 30 women from the local community and about 30 Van Lang University students.

The program was designed to help women in Vietnamese communities build the skills needed to start or advance careers in the beauty care service industry, while also strengthening the university's educational ties with local partner institutions.

The curriculum focused on hands-on training tailored to local demand, covering the specialized knowledge and practical techniques required in the beauty care service field. Faculty-developed cosmetics education materials were also distributed to participants on site.

Yu Wang-geun, head of the International Cooperation Leading University Project team at Daegu Haany University, said he hoped the program would give women in Vietnamese communities a foundation for building expertise and practical skills in the beauty care service sector.
