SGC Group announced Tuesday that it is carrying out a range of support programs to help children in South Korea grow up healthy, as part of its broader effort to promote a culture of giving.

SGC Energy recently launched the "House of Hope No. 1" project to improve residential environments for children from low-income households. The initiative is a corporate social responsibility program that creates stable living conditions for single-parent families in substandard housing. SGC Energy plans to continue providing support for residential and educational rights in partnership with the Gunsan General Social Welfare Center.

Since last year, SGC Energy has also been running a breakfast support program for children at risk of skipping meals in partnership with World Vision, an international relief and development NGO. The program provides morning meals and uses a close-care monitoring system to identify at-risk children early and build a protective network around them. The company also offers tailored support — covering housing costs, medical expenses and living costs — for children and teenagers facing sudden crisis situations.

SGC E&C has been sustaining treatment cost support and blood donation activities for children with pediatric cancer. Since 2021, the company has worked with the Kiwoom Heroes baseball club through the "Love THE LIV House-Building" campaign to deliver treatment funds and messages of encouragement to children battling illness. Over six years, the campaign has raised and donated a total of 60 million won ($42,400).

SGC E&C's in-house blood donation club, the SGC Blood Donation Club, has been donating blood certificates to the Korea Leukemia and Childhood Cancer Association since 2022, rallying around the value of sharing life. Over the past four years, the club has delivered about 160 blood certificates, and this year it will again donate certificates collected through its blood donation drives to the association.
