Jeju Air announced Tuesday that it has published its "2026 Sustainability Report," detailing the airline's ESG (environmental, social and governance) management activities and performance.

Jeju Air became the first domestic low-cost carrier to publish a sustainability report in 2024 and has since released one annually, transparently disclosing ESG management information to stakeholders including customers and investors.

The 2026 edition builds on previous reports while placing particular emphasis on the company's progress in establishing a risk management governance framework designed to address external variables and increasingly complex sustainability challenges.

The airline established an ESG Committee and a Safety Committee under its board of directors, strengthening its oversight structure for non-financial risks. It also developed a risk management framework covering the full cycle from risk identification and response through to performance management, all of which is disclosed in the report.

Non-financial risks are classified into eight categories: climate change and the environment, aviation and industrial safety, human rights, supply chain, consumer protection, data security, ethics, and legal compliance. The report details the potential impact of each category and the key measures taken to address them.

Particularly in the second half of last year, as ESG risk management across the supply chain grew in importance, Jeju Air expanded its management scope to include first-tier suppliers and conducted its first supply chain ESG assessments and roundtable meetings, further formalizing its sustainability management activities with partner companies.

In addition, the report incorporates the management philosophy and core values the company established last year to mark its 20th anniversary, laying out its vision and direction for sustainable growth going forward.

"We are the only domestic low-cost carrier publishing a sustainability report, and we continue to strengthen the transparency and accountability of our ESG management," a Jeju Air official said. "We will keep moving forward as a sustainable company that values direction over speed and substance over scale, grounded in systematic risk management and open communication with our stakeholders."

Meanwhile, Jeju Air has also been actively recruiting talent, recently launching a double-digit hiring drive for new cabin crew as part of a proactive effort to secure personnel for safe flight operations.
