Keynote to reveal 'telco-native security' strategy

LG Uplus will unveil an integrated security portfolio for enterprise customers at ISEC 2026, one of South Korea's leading information security conferences.

The company said Tuesday it is participating in ISEC 2026, held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, through Wednesday, where it will showcase the portfolio.

Now in its 20th year, ISEC 2026 is the country's largest security conference. The annual event draws around 10,000 security professionals, chief information security officers, IT managers and public institution officials to share the latest security technologies and industry trends.

LG Uplus plans to present three offerings at the event: AlphaKey, its integrated identity-as-a-service (IDaaS) platform; U+SASE, a cloud-based integrated network and security platform; and a cloud security package aimed at small and midsize enterprises.

The company said it is building an integrated security portfolio spanning identity and authentication, network security, and cloud security. Through the exhibition, it intends to show that enterprise customers can receive key security services through a single provider in a unified environment.

AlphaKey, launched by LG Uplus last year, is a cloud-based integrated identity management service that lets employees access multiple work systems and cloud services with a single account. It features single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA) and homomorphic encryption to enhance both security and convenience. Having become the first domestic IDaaS service to obtain CSAP certification, the company also plans to expand into the public sector.

Also on display will be U+SASE, a cloud-based integrated network and security platform set for an official launch. U+SASE lets companies manage the networks and security of multiple work environments — including headquarters, branch offices, and remote or home-office settings — through a single platform. LG Uplus said it will combine its telecommunications network operating expertise with security technology capabilities to deliver a security framework optimized for the domestic enterprise environment.

LG Uplus will also introduce its cloud security package for small and midsize enterprise customers. The package integrates core security functions needed for business operations, including AI-based ransomware detection and blocking, email security, data backup and data loss prevention. It is designed to reduce the burden of building separate solutions, making it easier for smaller companies to establish a security framework.

Meanwhile, LG Uplus plans to outline its business strategy for the enterprise security market through a keynote address at the event. The keynote, titled "Strategic Direction for Telco-Native Security Services," will be delivered by Choe Jong-bo, head of LG Uplus's security business division.

Through the keynote, the company said it will present its "telco-native" security strategy, which combines data center, telecommunications network, cloud and security service capabilities. The plan is to go beyond simple network provision and offer enterprise customers differentiated security services based on an integrated business model covering service planning, technology roadmap development, and deployment and operations.

"Enterprises want a trusted digital work environment, not just connectivity," Choe said. "LG Uplus will expand differentiated services that combine telecommunications and security — built on AlphaKey, U+SASE and the cloud security package — and support customers so they can run their businesses with confidence."
