Hansol Logistics is moving into full-scale battery cell logistics operations in the United States.
The company said it recently established a new logistics hub in Kokomo, Indiana, following the launch of a transportation subsidiary in Atlanta, Georgia, in April.
The service targets large South Korean battery cell manufacturers operating in the US market. It covers the supply of returnable packaging for battery cell transport, along with collection, cleaning and storage — managing the entire battery logistics process to support stable operations for customers.
The company will also offer real-time transport and delivery management, warehousing and just-in-time supply services built on RFID (radio-frequency identification) and GPS-based tracking systems, helping customers improve supply chain efficiency.
Hansol Logistics now operates logistics hubs on the West Coast in Los Angeles, on the East Coast in Atlanta and in the Midwest in Kokomo.
The Kokomo hub will serve as a Midwest base supporting battery manufacturers in the Indiana region as well as near Detroit, linking battery cell logistics services with inland transportation.
"We are expanding our battery logistics business — which started in China — into Asia, Europe and the Americas," a company official said Monday. "We will strengthen our global battery logistics competitiveness on the back of our long operational experience and expertise."
