A waterpark in Gyeonggi Province has come under fire after a visitor complained that its food portions were far too small for the price.

The criticism surfaced recently on Threads, a social media platform, in a post by a visitor who had taken their children to the park.

The visitor, identified only as A, said the tteokbokki looked delicious in the kiosk photo and that they ordered it despite the steep price, factoring in that it was a waterpark. "But what came out was completely different from the photo," A wrote. The image shared with the post showed two pieces of garaetteok (cylindrical rice cake), two fish cake pieces and one cheese stick.

"The square thing in the middle is a cheese stick — and this is what they sell as a set," A wrote. "How much do you think this costs? It's 16,000 won ($11). Is this acceptable even for a waterpark?" A asked, inviting reactions from other users.

Outside food and beverages are banned at the waterpark, leaving visitors with no choice but to buy food on the premises.

Reactions from other users were mixed. Some said the park was cashing in on a short seasonal window, while others wondered whether A had already eaten some of the food before taking the photo. Others were more blunt: "You have to go in expecting to waste money at a waterpark," one user wrote, while another called the value "terrible." A dissenting voice added, "If it's too expensive, you just don't have to buy it."
