Lotte Department Store announced Monday it has teamed up with YG Entertainment to present a large-scale project celebrating the 20th debut anniversary of global act BIGBANG at Lotte Town Jamsil.

The event runs Aug. 14-23, spanning Seokchon Lake, Lotte World Mall and Avenuel across the Lotte Town Jamsil complex. Programming includes an exhibition, food and beverage offerings, fan participation events and merchandise tied to BIGBANG's 20th anniversary.

At Seokchon Lake, the event will feature a "Signature Lighting" display inspired by BIGBANG's official light stick, the "Bangbong," illuminating the lake's east basin and waterfront stage each evening during the run. On Aug. 19 — the group's debut date — special lighting will switch on at 8:19 p.m. A roughly 5-meter-tall "Bangbong Crown" sculpture will also be installed on the waterfront stage.

Lotte World Mall will host a food-focused program themed around BIGBANG's 20th anniversary. On the first below-ground floor, a relay of pop-up stores from popular bakery brands — "What a Bread," "Drunken Dough" and "No Bad Vibes" — will operate throughout the event, offering limited-edition products created exclusively for the project.

Interactive content will also be on offer. On the fifth-floor bridge connecting Avenuel and Lotte World Mall, the "BIGBANG to Cosmos" project will collect celebratory messages from BIGBANG's official fan club, VIP, convert them into an "Arecibo code" format and present them as a media art installation.

On the sixth floor of Avenuel's Art Hall, an immersive exhibition themed "The Cosmos" will blend media art technology with archival footage tracing BIGBANG's 20-year career, behind-the-scenes performance content and previously unreleased on-site photographs. A listening zone with hanging headphones will let visitors take in the group's music.

A merchandise shop for exhibition visitors will operate on the first below-ground floor of Lotte World Mall, selling limited-edition goods produced to commemorate BIGBANG's 20th debut anniversary.
