Actor Bang Eun-hee has opened up about the guilt and longing she has carried for six years since her mother died alone.

Bang appeared Thursday on MBN's lifestyle variety program "Teukjong Sesang," where she spoke about her two divorces and the loss of her mother six years ago.

After finishing a performance that day, Bang showed a heavy heart, saying she had been unable to stop thinking about her parents throughout the show. "I kept feeling like my mother might be sitting somewhere in the audience," she said.

Bang spoke warmly about her son, who is currently studying film in the United States, then reflected on her two marriages. "I've had two failed marriages. I have no regrets about the first because I had my son. When he was three, he asked me to buy him a father at a toy store, and that stayed with me — it made me decide to remarry. But I could feel that my second husband wasn't able to be a real father to him. So I made a big decision and we parted ways," she said.

She then visited the columbarium where her mother's remains are kept, sending a letter and a sky lantern in tribute.

Earlier, Bang appeared on a YouTube channel last month and recalled the sudden loss of her mother, sharing the painful story.

"Both of my parents are gone, but my mother passed away in a way that was truly unbelievable — so suddenly," she said. "My situation at the time wasn't good, and I hadn't been able to visit her for a year. I had told her I would come see her soon, and she passed away in the meantime."

She added that her mother was not found until two days after her death. "It was too difficult for me to sort through her belongings myself, so I had to rely on a specialized cleaning service," she said.

Bang made her entertainment debut in 1990 with the film "Watercolor Painting in a Rainy Day" and went on to appear in films including "Two Cops" and drama series such as "A Girl Who Sees Smells."
