BNK Kyongnam Bank announced Friday it will hold the "BNK Kyongnam Bank Family Culture Festival (35th BNK Kyongnam Bank Art Contest)" baseball viewing event at Changwon NC Park on Wednesday.
This year's art contest will run as an open submission competition rather than an on-site drawing event, with participants submitting completed works from home. The bank accepted advance registrations through its mobile banking app under two categories: "art contest and baseball viewing" participants and "art contest only" participants.
About 6,300 people are expected to attend Wednesday's event, including kindergarten and elementary school children and their families who registered for the combined art contest and baseball viewing option, as well as children from areas at high risk of population decline. Participants may submit works completed at home on the theme "Our Family's Summer Story" at on-site booths at Changwon NC Park between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. that day. After confirming each submission, Kyongnam Bank will distribute NC Dinos game tickets equal to the number of advance registrations.
The event also includes a special invitation for 300 children from community child centers in high-risk depopulation areas across South Gyeongsang Province, with transportation support provided to give them access to on-site activities and the baseball game. Children participating in the art contest only — without attending the ballpark — may submit their completed works to any Kyongnam Bank branch in the province from Thursday through Aug. 21.
On-site booths at Changwon NC Park will offer balloon art, photo booth experiences and a mobile banking unit. From 3:30 p.m., the program will include a kids DJ performance, a bubble show and a magic show, along with prize draws featuring items such as a Nintendo Switch 2 and a Galaxy Watch 8. Booths will be set up in the shade of NC Park's large scoreboard, with cooling fog mist systems, air-conditioned buses, shaded zones and ice stations to manage the summer heat.
After submitting their works, participants will watch the afternoon game between the NC Dinos and KT Corp Wiz. If the game is canceled due to rain or extreme heat, it will be rescheduled according to the KBO calendar, and submitted works may be dropped off at the nearest branch through Aug. 21.
Kyongnam Bank will review all submitted works and select 1,619 winners, awarding a total of 14 million won ($9,870) in scholarships. Final winners will be announced in September through the bank's website and official social media channels.
