Crops at a community garden plot inside Suwon Tapdong Citizens Farm in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, lay parched Friday morning as a heat wave continued despite the arrival of Ipchu, the traditional solar term marking the start of autumn. A gardener who tends a plot at the site said that even when crops are watered during the day, the heat dries them out within two to three hours. "People who only come on weekends will have nothing to harvest this year," she said.
