Seoul Botanic Park is offering visitors a chance to escape the summer heat by taking in both plants and art in a tranquil setting.

The park announced Saturday that it is running a series of programs tied to "Tender Balance," a curated art exhibition exploring the relationship between nature, humanity and technology. The show opened June 23.

Installation art, media art and public art works will be on display throughout the park through May 16 next year. The park is closed every Monday.

Companion programs include artist workshops where visitors can view works alongside the participating artists, as well as guided tours led by exhibition docents. Visitors can also record their impressions on response cards and activity sheets after viewing the exhibition.

A special workshop for adults invites participants to express their reactions to the works through resin art, then share their reflections with one another. Those wishing to take part can register through the Seoul Metropolitan Government's public service reservation website.

"We will offer a special experience where visitors can appreciate artworks throughout Seoul Botanic Park and explore art together with the artists," said park director On Su-jin.
