Musinsa officially opens its footwear specialty store Musinsa Kicks at Starfield Goyang on Friday, marking the brand's third location after stores in Seoul's Hongdae and Seongsu neighborhoods.
Having established a foothold in Seoul's core commercial districts — where young consumers and global foot traffic are concentrated — Musinsa Kicks is now moving to broaden its reach to lifestyle shoppers and family customers as part of a deliberate strategy to diversify into new retail zones.
The Goyang and northern Gyeonggi Province area had been largely underserved by large-scale sports and lifestyle multi-brand stores. Musinsa plans to use Musinsa Kicks, with its differentiated brand and product lineup, to establish the store as a regional landmark.
The Starfield Goyang location is designed as a total lifestyle store covering fashion accessories and footwear. Nike and Puma are positioned at the front of the store, while global sports brands including New Balance and Asics are brought together under one roof. Well-known leather casual brands such as Timberland, Dr. Martens, Giho and Yase are also on offer.
The outdoor curation space "Next Outdoor" features the Nike ACG line as an exclusive offline debut for Musinsa Kicks. The store also includes a dedicated bags and caps section called "Bag & Cap Club" and a designated Crocs Jibbitz zone.
To mark the opening, Musinsa will release limited quantities of sought-after products including the Nike Moon Shoe OG, Asics Novablast 6, ept Alicante and a Toanntoe x Hello Kitty collaboration set. On Friday only, the store will sell "Super Bags" filled with popular sneakers from Asics, Nike and Puma at 49,900 won ($35) — up to 79 percent off the regular price — on a first-come, first-served basis.
"The Starfield Goyang store is Kicks' first location inside a mixed-use shopping mall and a place where customers can discover a wide range of labels — from outdoor gear to bags and caps — beyond just sneakers," a Musinsa official said. "We will provide a differentiated shopping experience for both family customers and sneaker enthusiasts."
