Dongjin Semichem posted second-quarter consolidated operating profit of 59.29 billion won ($41.6 million), up 38.9 percent from a year earlier, the company disclosed Thursday.

Revenue for the same period rose 17.5 percent to 346.87 billion won.

Net profit for the period came to 84.97 billion won, a preliminary figure representing a 1,450.6 percent increase year on year.
