Singer Chae Rina broke down in tears while opening up about the toll that malicious online comments about her appearance have taken on her.

Channel A's beauty makeover show "Beauty Clinic Touch Me" released a preview clip of its Friday episode on Tuesday via YouTube.

In the preview, Chae Rina appears as a guest and, for the first time since her debut, goes bare-faced on camera while sharing insecurities about her looks that she had long kept to herself.

She wept as she read aloud some of the most cutting comments directed at her, including slurs calling her a "plastic surgery monster" and a "failure."

A specialist brought in to address her concerns examined her skin and said she showed "severe asymmetry and skin damage."

Chae Rina had a habit of manually extracting sebum, which irritated her skin. The specialist said the damaging routine had contributed to her skin's condition.

Rather than surgery, Chae Rina pursued non-surgical procedures and a skincare regimen. When she returned to the studio after completing the four-week program, the panelists were visibly impressed, exclaiming, "She looks like a movie star" and "She really is a diva."

In a 2022 broadcast, Chae Rina had spoken candidly about her history with cosmetic procedures. "I got surgery because people used to call me ugly, but I didn't even end up looking pretty — just somewhere in between," she said. "I didn't touch the bone; I only did my eyes for impact. And I had a nose implant put in, but I had it removed."
