US President Donald Trump boasted about winning a golf tournament amid ongoing military tensions with Iran, declaring the victory proof of his unique "TALENT."

Trump posted a video to his Truth Social account on Sunday showing him winning the club championship at his Bedminster, New Jersey golf course.

The 13-second clip shows Trump hitting an approach shot to within close range of the hole. "Winning shot at the Bedminster Club Championship," he wrote, adding that he won with a score of 70.

"I am very honored to have won, especially since, unlike the other participants, I had very little time to practice, having been focused on so many other things," he wrote. "This is called TALENT. I have it, others don't."

The post drew particular attention given the backdrop of escalating military tensions between the United States and Iran.

Trump signaled the possibility of a major strike against Iran at a Cabinet meeting at Camp David in Maryland on Friday. US media outlets reported the same day that the military was preparing for large-scale strikes over the weekend.

But Trump announced Sunday night on Truth Social that he had called off the military operation, saying Iran and other Middle Eastern nations "have agreed to the framework of a deal and have asked that any attack be put on hold."

Iran's acting Defense Minister Ibn Aleza pushed back in a statement, calling the episode "psychological warfare and a meticulously calculated provocation." Iran "considers this a real and serious threat and will never be caught off guard," he said.

Trump owns golf courses bearing his name across the United States and plays nearly every weekend while in office. When staying at the White House, he frequently visits Trump National Golf Club in Virginia; when at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, he often plays at a nearby course.

Trump left Camp David on Friday and traveled to Bedminster, where he spent the weekend through Sunday.
