Artspace3 in Jongno-gu, Seoul, is presenting a solo exhibition by Lee Pi (b. 1981), titled "-3 and a Half World War," through Sept. 19. The show reframes war not as a clash between nations but as an experience of violence endured by individuals, using installation, sculpture and painting to illuminate the language and systems that conceal that violence. Banner works incorporating a script invented by the artist serve as a metaphor for a reality in which truth is distorted and sacrifice repeated, prompting viewers to reflect on what it means to live through an age of violence.
