Singer and yoga instructor Lee Hyori has publicly warned some members of her yoga studio for failing to follow its rules.

On Thursday, Lee posted a message to the studio's Instagram story saying that some people occasionally show up without a valid membership pass or a day-use ticket. "No one is exempt, so please follow the rules," she wrote.

Lee also called out members who try to instruct other students during class. "If you're here to learn, you're a student," she said. "Do your teaching at your own studio."

The day before, on Wednesday, Lee shared mixed feelings about running the studio.

"At our Ananda Yoga, we used to meditate to the sound of rain and birdsong, hold padma meditation sessions, and quietly hold bhujangasana for 30 minutes," she wrote. "Lately I wonder if things have gotten a bit too heated."

She added, "I feel sorry, and I feel grateful — both at the same time."

Lee opened her yoga studio, Ananda, in Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, in September last year and held her first class there. The studio takes its name from her yoga persona. Unlike her Jeju location, the Seoul studio operates on a reservation-only basis to manage the volume of visitors.

Even at the opening, Lee expressed discomfort with the wide attention. "This excitement will also die down and go quiet," she said, adding that she hoped both herself and her students would stay calm and grounded — "not worn out, not overexcited" — and continue practicing steadily, as they always had.

Lee debuted in 1998 as a member of the girl group Fin.K.L and married singer-songwriter Lee Sang-soon in 2013. She has worked as a yoga instructor since 2016 and currently appears on the JTBC variety show "Yeonae Jeonjaeng."
