Lotte Duty Free held a ceremony Thursday to mark the 100th day since opening its Incheon Airport store.

The event took place at the departure hall of Terminal 2 at Incheon International Airport. It was attended by Lotte Duty Free CEO Kim Dong-ha, Incheon International Airport Corp. operations chief Kim Chang-gyu, and K-pop group aespa, the store's brand ambassadors. The ceremony featured a ribbon-cutting, commemorative photos, a store tour and a handprinting performance by aespa.

The company is also running a series of promotions to mark the milestone. Through Aug. 17, it will distribute weekly PRE LDF PAY credits — redeemable across cosmetics, liquor and food categories — in conjunction with LDF PAY. A "LUCKY SEAT" event offers customers whose airplane seat number matches a designated lucky number an Incheon Airport-exclusive LDF PAY credit worth 50,000 won ($34). Customers who spend $100 or more will receive a photo card featuring the store's brand ambassador.

Lotte Duty Free returned to Incheon Airport in April after roughly a three-year absence, launching operations in the DF1 zone covering cosmetics, perfume, liquor, tobacco and food. The operating term runs up to 10 years from the opening date. The store spans 4,094 square meters across 15 outlets carrying more than 240 brands, and the company expects the Incheon presence to generate more than 600 billion won in additional annual sales.

Lotte Duty Free plans to use the Incheon Airport store as a base to build a profitability-focused growth platform while strengthening its competitiveness as a global duty-free operator. The company currently operates 18 stores in total — eight in South Korea and the rest across five countries overseas.

"The successful establishment of the Incheon Airport store is a meaningful achievement made possible by customer trust and close cooperation with Incheon International Airport Corp.," CEO Kim said at the ceremony. "We will continue to set a new standard for duty-free shopping at Incheon Airport, backed by differentiated product offerings and service."
