Iran's Foreign Ministry said it has no plans to negotiate with the United States as an exchange of airstrikes between the two countries has effectively collapsed end-of-war talks. The ministry said it will suspend implementation of the end-of-war MOU while devoting all resources to national defense against US strikes.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said in a statement Wednesday that "the Iranian government currently has no negotiations planned with the United States and is focusing all efforts solely on national defense."

On the status of the end-of-war MOU and existing agreements, which are effectively void, Baghaei said "agreements are premised on the mutual fulfillment of obligations" and that "if the other party violates its commitments first, Iran will likewise suspend its own." He blamed the United States for the current tensions, saying they were triggered by Washington's breach of its commitments.

He added that "reciprocity is Iran's unwavering principle, and we will firmly maintain this stance going forward."
