Key ESG achievements from 2025 to first half of 2026
Company builds AI-driven culture, wins YouTube 'Gold Button' award
LG HelloVision has published a sustainability report covering its major environmental, social and governance (ESG) activities from 2025 through the first half of 2026.
LG HelloVision said Wednesday it released the 2025-2026 sustainability report, which highlights the value of AI-driven community co-prosperity. This marks the fourth edition of the report.
The company said a defining feature of this year's report is its disclosure of achievements in building a local ecosystem through digital technology innovation and its media platform.
Before compiling the report, LG HelloVision conducted a materiality assessment of its stakeholders. The company identified seven stakeholder groups — including employees, customers, government, media and local communities — and incorporated an impact assessment of ESG risks and opportunities. Based on that process, it selected five material issues: information security and customer data protection, customer satisfaction, ethical and compliance management, community engagement, and climate change response.
LG HelloVision said it particularly spotlighted its AI co-prosperity activities and achievements in line with the report's theme, "A sustainable tomorrow connected by media and communications." Internally, the company is fostering an AI transformation culture through initiatives such as hosting an in-house AI agent hackathon, providing AI education for employees, and applying AI-based customer inquiry analysis in day-to-day operations.
Externally, the company also ran AI digital literacy classes for small business owners, provided AI education for multicultural families, and supported the distribution of digital skills content for senior citizens. LG HelloVision additionally received a commendation from the Ministry of Interior and Safety at the 2025 Safety Culture Awards for its AI digital harm prevention education program for youth.
LG HelloVision also said its official YouTube channel "Hello Life" surpassed 1 million subscribers and became the first domestic pay-TV platform to receive YouTube's Gold Button award, demonstrating the social reach of locally rooted content.
The company is also running internal and external environmental campaigns to address the climate crisis and continues to produce biodiversity conservation programs through public-private partnerships aimed at protecting local ecosystems and raising awareness.
LG HelloVision said it is further strengthening its operational frameworks, including maintaining its occupational health and safety management system certification and obtaining certification for its information security and personal data protection management system.
"We will continue to pursue effective ESG management alongside business growth amid a rapidly changing media environment driven by the spread of AI technology," said Lim Seong-won, executive vice president at LG HelloVision.
