iM Bank held its 2026 second-half management strategy conference in Pohang on Friday, with about 290 executives and branch managers in attendance.

The conference opened with a ceremony reaffirming the bank's commitment to its "Beautiful Companionship" initiative, underscoring its pledge to grow alongside local communities.

Pohang Mayor Park Yong-seon attended the event, where iM Bank pledged to deliver responsible and compassionate financial services in support of the city's five key administrative goals — innovative growth, balanced development, residential environment, tourism and culture, and public safety.

Division heads presented their second-half targets and strategies aimed at meeting the bank's 2026 net profit goal. Plans announced included improving asset quality, upgrading non-face-to-face digital systems, and expanding collaboration with external platforms.

A session on outstanding sales cases followed, with staff sharing practical success stories covering benchmarking of sales techniques from rival banks, strategies for attracting new customers, and approaches to boosting employee motivation — all aimed at building momentum for the second half.

"If the first half of 2026 was about laying the groundwork for structural improvement and a major financial transformation, the second half must be the period when we drive performance to new heights through strong execution," bank president Kang Jeong-hun said.
