Homeplus Express, now under NS Shopping's ownership, said Monday that all 284 of its stores nationwide are operating normally as it works to strengthen its position as a neighborhood grocery supermarket.

Since its relaunch on June 23, product supply and service operations have continued steadily, with the store management system stabilizing quickly.

Customer traffic has consistently grown. Daily average sales in the 17-day period from June 23 to July 9 were up about 35 percent compared with the June 1–22 period. Against May's daily average, sales rose 55 percent.

Product supply is also expanding steadily, with the range of items across major product categories continuing to grow. In fresh food — produce, seafood and meat — the delivery fulfillment rate against orders has recovered to 98 percent. Quick-commerce, the company's short-distance delivery service, has seen similar stabilization.

Homeplus Express said its cooperative framework with suppliers is also stabilizing, and that it plans to keep strengthening supply chain competitiveness to provide customers with a reliable range of products and services.

"Building on a stable operating foundation, we will further strengthen the quality of our products and services to establish ourselves as the neighborhood grocery supermarket closest to consumers' daily lives," said Cho Hang-mok, chief executive of Homeplus Express.
