Director Christopher Nolan and actor Matt Damon, who are set to visit Korea to promote their film "Odyssey," will sit down for a candid conversation with host Yoo Jae-suk.

tvN confirmed Monday that Nolan and Damon will appear on "You Quiz on the Block," with both arriving in Korea on Aug. 3 ahead of the film's domestic opening.

"They will share a wide range of stories about the film and candid conversations you won't hear anywhere else — we hope you look forward to it," the show said.

Nolan had earlier raised anticipation among Korean film fans by posting a handwritten letter on his SNS announcing plans to visit Korea before "Odyssey" opens on Aug. 5. It will be his first visit to the country.

In the letter, Nolan said, "I am grateful for the love and support Korean fans have shown my films over the years. It is especially meaningful to be visiting Seoul through 'Odyssey,' and I am truly delighted to present this film in person to Korean audiences."

Damon is also returning to Korea for the first time in 10 years — his last visit was in 2016 for "Jason Bourne" — for a long-awaited reunion with local fans.

During their visit, both will take part in a recording of "You Quiz on the Block," where they are expected to share behind-the-scenes stories from "Odyssey," their philosophies on directing and performance, and personal life stories rarely heard elsewhere. It will be the first meeting between either guest and host Yoo Jae-suk.

"Odyssey," Nolan's latest film starring Damon, is a blockbuster based on Homer's ancient epic poem. It follows the hero Odysseus, who led the Greeks to victory in the Trojan War, on his decade-long journey home to Ithaca as he overcomes trials set by the gods.
