Shinhan Investment has unveiled a lineup of special financial products to mark the launch of SOL LINK, an integrated account that lets customers handle both banking transactions and securities investment in a single account.

The company said Friday it has released four special products for customers who newly open a SOL LINK account through Shinhan Super SOL, Shinhan Financial Group's integrated financial platform.

The four products are a repurchase agreement (RP), a bond, a commercial paper instrument and a derivative-linked bond (DLB). The RP offers a pre-tax annual rate of 3.5 percent (91-day tenor), the bond 4.43 percent pre-tax (AA- rated), the commercial paper 3.7 to 3.8 percent pre-tax (six-month and 12-month tenors), and the DLB 3.7 percent pre-tax (three-month tenor). Each product carries a maximum subscription limit of 10 million won ($6,650), and the sales period runs through July 31. Customers can subscribe through the Shinhan Super SOL app.

In addition to the special products, on-demand and fixed-term commercial paper offerings with pre-tax annual rates of 2.50 to 3.65 percent are also available through the Shinhan Super SOL and Shinhan SOL Securities apps.

"We have prepared a variety of special products so that SOL LINK account holders can experience their first investment with low risk," a Shinhan Investment official said. "Customers can sign up in one stop through the Shinhan Super SOL app, and we look forward to strong interest from many customers."

Shinhan Investment has also continued to invest in strengthening its information security capabilities alongside its expanding financial services. According to a disclosure filed with the Korea Internet and Security Agency, the company's information security investment stands at approximately 17.1 billion won, representing 11.2 percent of its total IT investment. The spending has focused on building an unstructured data access control solution and an open-source vulnerability management system.
