Ulsan's Nam-gu district will run weekly Saturday markets and night bazaars at Sinjeong Market starting Saturday through Oct. 17. The Saturday market operates from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., followed by the night bazaar from 6 to 9 p.m.

The initiative is part of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' cultural tourism market development project, which supports traditional markets in building distinctive attractions — food, entertainment and sightseeing — tied to local history, culture and tourism resources. Events will be held in and around Hoechojang Alley and gukbap alley within Sinjeong Market.

The Saturday market will feature a flea market with up to 20 vendor teams, alongside cultural experience programs, a children's grocery shopping activity, discount events and receipt-based promotions, offering families a range of hands-on activities.

The night bazaar will center on the seafood center and gukbap alley, bringing together signature dishes — fresh raw fish, gukbap, pajeon, noodles and street snacks — with busking performances and traditional games.
