Switehotel Namwon corn-harvesting program set for July 17

Switehotel Namwon, part of Gyowon Group's hotel chain, will run a corn-harvesting experience program at a farm near the hotel on July 17.

"This program was designed so that guests can experience the value of nature and the joy of harvesting by picking corn themselves at the farm," a Gyowon official said. The hotel has been cultivating corn at an on-site experience farm it established specifically to give guests hands-on access to crop harvesting.

The program begins at 7 p.m. at the farm, a five-minute walk from the hotel. All guests may join through advance reservation or on-site registration. Participants will receive children's straw hats and gloves, adult gloves, harvesting baskets and corn-based beverages.

Alongside this, Switehotel Namwon is offering a promotion for customers who book through its official website: two complimentary shaved-ice desserts per stay. The benefit applies to guests checking in through Aug. 31.

"We put together this program so guests can spend meaningful time harvesting corn, one of summer's signature crops," the hotel official said. "We will continue to expand hands-on experiences for families and deliver differentiated customer experiences."
