Bearing Art Co. has donated 10 million won ($6,550) to support local talent development in Yeongju.
The Yeongju City Talent Development Scholarship Foundation, chaired by Hwang Byeong-jik, held a scholarship donation ceremony at Yeongju City Hall on Wednesday, with Bearing Art CEO Yoo Hyeon-wook in attendance. Participants shared their commitment to nurturing local talent and advancing community development.
Bearing Art has been a leading local company since establishing its Yeongju factory in 2013, contributing to the regional economy through sustained investment and job creation.
The company manufactures automotive bearing components and posted sales of 565.8 billion won last year, continuing a steady growth trajectory.
"As a company that has grown alongside this community, it is deeply meaningful to be able to contribute to nurturing the talent that will lead our future," CEO Yoo said. "We will continue to carry out a wide range of social contribution activities as a company that grows together with the local community."
Yeongju Mayor Hwang Byeong-jik expressed gratitude to Bearing Art for the contribution. "We are deeply thankful to Bearing Art for this meaningful act of giving for the future of our region," he said. "The donated scholarship funds will be used with great care to help students build their dreams and capabilities and grow into the talent that will lead Yeongju's future."
