Kakao Pay Securities said Wednesday it has launched an "AI Earnings Call" service that provides real-time translation and AI-generated summaries of earnings calls held by overseas companies.
The service translates remarks by foreign company executives into Korean in real time while AI simultaneously breaks the presentation into segments and summarizes each one. Users can view both the translation and the summaries on a single screen.
Kakao Pay Securities said it placed particular emphasis on bridging the gap between accessing earnings information and taking actual investment action. A key feature enabling this is a floating player using picture-in-picture (PIP) technology.
When minimized into a small window, the earnings call continues playing across all pages within the app. Users can listen to the call while checking market prices, charts and community posts — and even execute trades — without interruption. Audio playback also continues in the background after leaving the app.
Real-time share price tracking is another core feature. Each time an AI segment summary appears, the service displays the stock's price movement relative to where it stood at the start of the earnings call, allowing users to see how the market has reacted as the presentation unfolds. Segments with particularly high volatility are flagged separately.
The company also invested heavily in translation quality. Using its own technology, the service processes both translation and segment summarization simultaneously the moment live audio is received, minimizing the lag between a speaker's remarks and their translated summary. The system also pre-analyzes source audio with AI to extract stock and financial terminology, refines those terms into expressions familiar to domestic investors, and applies them consistently throughout the translation.
The AI Earnings Call service has been rolling out gradually since it launched with Nvidia in May, and currently covers the top 500 stocks by market capitalization. Coverage is set to expand to 1,000 stocks later this month. The service currently applies to US-listed stocks and is available to all registered members.
"This service is designed to help anyone quickly and accurately understand what overseas executives are saying during earnings season, so they can make timely investment decisions," Kakao Pay Securities said. "We will continue to improve access to market information so that all users can easily stay informed."
Kakao Pay Securities has posted rapid growth in the brokerage market on the strength of its user-friendly investment environment. As of April, assets under custody surpassed 15 trillion won ($9.83 billion). The company plans to broaden its product lineup around tax-advantaged accounts and key services, deepening its portfolio so that a wide range of investment needs can be met within a single platform.
