The coastal loop road encircling Incheon's Yeongjong International City will be fully connected with the opening of its final segment.
Incheon's General Construction Headquarters announced Wednesday that the first phase of the Midan City access road — the last remaining section of the Yeongjong coastal loop — will open fully Monday at 9 a.m.
The newly opening stretch runs 2.99 kilometers, linking Cheongna Haneul Bridge to Midan City.
Built as a two-lane road 15 meters wide, the stretch also includes pedestrian walkways and a dedicated bicycle path, which is expected to significantly improve conditions for both vehicle and bicycle traffic.
With this final link in place, the Yeongjong coastal loop road is now complete as a single continuous circuit stretching 53.7 kilometers.
The completion is expected to improve access to major development zones in Yeongjong International City, including Midan City and Hana Dream Island, while also making travel more convenient for tourists and local residents along the entire coastal route.
