Cape Verde goalkeeper Boznia, who made a strong impression with his shot-stopping at the 2026 North America World Cup, may soon be sharing a locker room with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami, according to reports.

British outlet SportsBible reported Monday that Boznia "has become one of the most talked-about stories of this World Cup," adding that the 40-year-old's club career "could be about to have a fairytale ending."

Citing Portuguese outlet Record, SportsBible said Inter Miami has expressed interest in signing Boznia as a free agent once the World Cup concludes. The club's leadership holds him in "high regard," with reports of "strong interest" from the Miami side.

Boznia shot to global stardom at 40, recording 18 super saves throughout the tournament and helping Cape Verde advance to the round of 32.

He delivered another standout performance against Argentina in the round of 32, even as Cape Verde fell 2-3. His Instagram following, which stood at just over 50,000 before the tournament, has since surpassed 25 million, drawing worldwide attention.
