Orion Holdings and Orion said Tuesday they will pay their first-ever quarterly dividends since the companies' founding.

Orion's total quarterly dividend payout will amount to 69.2 billion won ($44.9 million), with payment scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 6. Orion Holdings will pay 33.1 billion won, with its dividend due Aug. 10.

The quarterly dividends are part of a shareholder return policy the two companies pledged to the market and investors under their respective corporate value enhancement plans.

Orion unveiled its corporate value enhancement plan in June last year, announcing measures to strengthen shareholder returns — including maintaining a dividend payout ratio of at least 20 percent, gradually raising that ratio over the following three years, and reviewing the introduction of interim dividends.

Orion Holdings disclosed its own plan in March, outlining a dividend of at least 800 won per share annually over the next three years, along with treasury share cancellations and a review of interim dividends.

Both companies canceled all of their treasury shares — totaling 67.5 billion won — last month.

"We plan to continue enhancing shareholder value alongside sustained growth, and to strengthen a virtuous cycle in which growth and shareholder returns reinforce each other," a company official said.
