Anyang Youth 1st Street, a city-run youth center in Anyang, marked its first anniversary with a well-attended celebration.
The official program included a cake-cutting ceremony and a project progress report, followed by a relaxed reception where young visitors could mingle freely over refreshments.
Interactive booths drew a strong response, offering hands-on activities such as cupcake decorating, bookmark crafting, digital caricatures, a stamp challenge and a random prize draw.
An archiving exhibition was also held throughout the venue, giving visitors an overview of activities at Anyang's youth spaces — Anyang Youth 1st Street and the Beomgye Station Youth Exit.
A survey at the event found that participants most often described their ideal vision for the space as "a place for challenge and growth" (52.4%) or "a place for rest and refuge" (47.6%). The results suggest the center will evolve into a balanced platform supporting both youth development and psychological well-being.
"Anyang Youth 1st Street has firmly established itself as a growth platform where young people can speak up for themselves and move toward their dreams and goals," Anyang Mayor Choi Dae-ho said.
