YouTuber Eun Hyeon-jang, known by the channel name "Jangsa-ui Shin" ("God of Business"), said a Seoul court has granted his application to freeze the prison account funds of Kim Se-ui, head of the YouTube channel Gaseyon, who is currently detained on charges of spreading false information about actor Kim Soo-hyun.

Eun announced the ruling Wednesday on his YouTube broadcast, saying the Seoul Central District Court had accepted his application to freeze Kim's prison account funds, and he shared part of the court order.

The order stated that "the claims of the debtor (Kim Se-ui) against the third-party debtor are hereby provisionally seized," and that "the third-party debtor shall not make any payment to the debtor in relation to said claims."

Under the ruling, the detention facility — named as the third-party debtor — is barred from disbursing any funds to Kim. The frozen amount is approximately 100 million won ($64,300).

"I said on a previous broadcast that I would freeze Kim Se-ui's prison account so he couldn't even buy a sausage inside prison, and I filed the application on his birthday to keep that commitment," Eun said. "Now he really cannot buy sausages or bottled water in his cell."

He added that while the court order may look like a single sheet of paper, securing it cost tens of millions of won and involved an extremely complicated process. He also said he would seek an additional freeze if the account balance were ever to exceed 100 million won, though he considered that unlikely.

Eun had previously said he deposited about 40 million won with the court as security to file the freeze application.

Meanwhile, Eun said complaints that Kim had filed against him have also been dismissed one after another without charges.

He said that 10 cases he filed against Kim — five counts of defamation through false statements of fact and five counts of insult — have been forwarded to prosecutors with a recommendation for indictment, and that prosecutor assignment has been completed. "We are proceeding step by step through each case," he said.
