Actor Oh Yun-a has officially announced she will remarry, 11 years after her divorce.

A video titled "Oh Yun-a's New Chapter | Oh!Yun-a TEASER EP.00" was posted Thursday on her YouTube channel "Oh!윤아."

In the video, Oh made the announcement herself, saying, "I'm getting married."

She opened by thanking her subscribers for their continued support. "Many of you have told me you wanted to see me meet a good partner and live happily," she said.

Oh reflected on the years she spent raising her child alone. "For a long time, my child was my top priority, and I didn't want that to be a burden on anyone," she said. She added that she had once thought she and her son Min would simply spend their lives together — until she met someone special.

She described the moment she became certain about the marriage. "His parents are wonderful people and welcomed Min just like a grandchild. That's not an easy thing to do, and I thought, 'This couldn't happen without a real connection,'" she said. "Every time I prayed when something was weighing on me, we kept being brought together. There were just so many things that kept us meeting. That's when I thought, 'He must be the one.'"

Oh also acknowledged that her fiancé is a private citizen and said she wanted to be careful about the announcement.

"Because my husband-to-be is not a public figure, I wanted to be cautious about announcing the marriage," she said. "He accepted my child comfortably and in his own way, so we were able to form a family very naturally."

Oh said that while she had made up her mind about the marriage some time ago, she spent a long time deliberating over when and how to share the news.

"I thought a lot about how to tell everyone. I didn't want it to feel like I was showing off good news — I wanted to share it carefully," she said. "That's why I wanted to tell my subscribers on YouTube first."

She closed with a message to her fans. "Getting married doesn't mean anything will change. I'll keep living hard, just as I have been," she said. "There has simply been a good change in our lives. I hope you'll continue to watch over us warmly and cheer us on."

Oh married in 2007 and had a son before divorcing in 2015.
