AI, digital specialists and women leaders among notable appointments

Global accounting and consulting firm EY Han Young announced a regular partner-level personnel reshuffle totaling 60 appointments.

Among existing partners, eight were promoted to deputy CEO and 17 to executive managing director. In addition, 32 partners and three executive directors were newly appointed. The changes take effect Tuesday.

The eight newly promoted deputy CEOs are leaders who delivered strong results within their respective business divisions and contributed to organizational growth. They earned their promotions through sector expertise and execution capabilities that allowed them to respond effectively to market shifts and customer needs, while also demonstrating leadership in talent development and organizational management.

The newly appointed partners have built expertise across audit, tax, strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and consulting in major industries including finance, manufacturing, construction, infrastructure and consumer goods. To meet the rapid market changes of the AI era, the firm selected specialists with deep knowledge across core areas of corporate operations — AI transformation, data analytics, cybersecurity, process innovation, risk management and AI-based tax automation. The appointments are intended to further strengthen EY Han Young's capacity to support corporate clients' AI adoption and operational innovation projects.

The advancement of women was also notable. A total of 13 women were promoted in this round — one deputy CEO, three executive managing directors, eight partners and one executive director — the largest number in the past three years.

Among the standout appointments, Jo Seong-yeon became the first woman promoted to deputy CEO in the audit division. Jo, a specialist in the consumer goods and biopharmaceutical industries, has led Audit Division 2 and demonstrated strong leadership. Also in the audit division, partner Kang Min-jung, 37, earned the title of youngest newly appointed partner, symbolizing both generational change and the expansion of women's leadership at the same time.

"This reshuffle is aimed at appointing next-generation leaders with sector expertise and technology capabilities to lay the groundwork for future growth," EY Han Young CEO Park Yong-geun said. "EY Han Young will actively help clients drive management innovation and growth, backed by our investment in AI, digital talent and technology."

Meanwhile, EY Han Young, which closes its fiscal year in June, posted sales of approximately 464.5 billion won ($301 million) and operating profit of approximately 9.1 billion won for the previous fiscal year (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025).
