Lee Sol-i, wife of comedian Park Sung-kwang, shrugged off divorce rumors Tuesday after a reflective post she shared on social media sparked speculation about her marriage.

Lee posted a video on Instagram on Tuesday that opened with the line, "At 39, there is a past I want to erase."

"It was a time when I met someone with different values and we spent nights trying to convince each other," she wrote. "Those were days when I chose words to carry my emotions and tried to force them into the other person's heart. It was terrible arrogance."

She added that she had wanted others to fully understand the depths of her emotions, and said she treasured relationships where communication flows naturally without the need for persuasion — what she called "relationships that are in tune."

Lee went on to say that such connections are built on a shared pace and attitude toward life. She mused that two people who have each lived in their own worlds for decades coming together without any friction may be "a miracle that is in principle impossible and only exceptionally achievable."

She tempered the reflection with a note of hope, writing that people "make the mistake of embracing even what we cannot understand — and that, they say, is love," and that she was waiting for that "exceptional miracle."

After the video was posted, some online commenters expressed concern about her relationship with Park and raised the possibility of a divorce.

As the worried responses mounted, Lee moved to put them to rest. "I wrapped it up nicely by saying that embracing those differences is love," she said. Responding directly to one commenter who asked whether she and Park had separated — saying her gaze had looked unsettled lately — Lee denied the divorce rumors. "No. It is true that I am anxious ahead of a regular checkup for a chronic condition, but my gaze is simply me staying alert in all directions," she said.

Lee revealed in April last year that she had been battling a women's cancer. She said she received the diagnosis while planning to have children after leaving her job, and underwent surgery and chemotherapy over six months.

Park and Lee married in 2020 and appeared together on the SBS variety program "Dongsang Imong 2 — You Are My Destiny," where they shared glimpses of their daily life and won a wide following.
