Hoban Group marked its 37th anniversary with a renewed commitment to forging a new future.
The group held its 37th anniversary ceremony June 30 at its headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
Chairman Kim Sun-gyu, in his commemorative address, stressed that the group must "establish a culture of open communication and strengthen execution capabilities, grounded in our core values of 'harmony and unity' and 'honesty and principle,' to sustain continued growth."
He added that employees must "further engrain the 'winning spirit' — the habit of winning that lies within us," urging them to "achieve our goals with confidence and meticulous execution, with the conviction that 'we will ultimately succeed' no matter the adversity, and build a new future together."
The ceremony was attended by Kim, along with Kim Sang-yeol, chairman of the Hoban Scholarship Foundation; Woo Hyeon-hui, chairwoman of the Hoban Culture Foundation; Kim Dae-heon, president of group planning; Kim Yun-hye, chief executive of Hoban Property; Kim Min-seong, vice president of Hoban Group; and Kim Min-hyeong, executive director of the group's communications division, as well as heads of major affiliates, employees and representatives from partner companies.
At the ceremony, 241 long-serving employees from major affiliates — including Hoban Construction, Hoban Industrial, Taihan Cable & Solution, Hoban Hotels & Resorts, Hoban Property, Samsung Gold Exchange and Daea Cheongwa — received tenure plaques and gifts in recognition of their contributions to the company's growth. More than 20 outstanding partner companies also received co-prosperity support funds, reaffirming the group's commitment to shared growth.
Since its founding, Hoban Group has expanded from its construction roots into manufacturing, retail, leisure and finance, building a broad business base. More recently, the group has focused on enhancing AI capabilities across its operations and driving digital innovation to sharpen its competitive edge and secure future growth engines. On June 29, the group also continued its social contribution activities by presenting a development donation to Yonsei University Medical Center in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.
