The National Research Foundation of Korea announced Tuesday it has appointed Moon Soo-bok, a professor in the School of Computing at KAIST, as head of its National Strategy Research Division.
In the two-year role, Moon will oversee and coordinate government-entrusted affairs under the division, including management and evaluation of academic and research and development support projects, project planning and proposals for mid- to long-term development, policy establishment and advisory work, budget allocation and execution, promotion of research outcomes, assessment of research demand by field, technology forecasting, and investigation and analysis of research trends.
