A blueprint for Bonghwa-gun in North Gyeongsang Province has been unveiled, outlining campaign pledges and key projects for the county's 9th elected term.

The People's Harmony Future Preparatory Committee for the 9th elected term wrapped up its official schedule Sunday after completing a review of a white paper documenting its activities.

The committee proposed "Bonghwa Shining Again, Happy Residents" as the governing slogan for the new term.

Built around five county administration goals — future agriculture that grows incomes, forest tourism that invites rest, balanced growth and mutual development, welfare that carries warmth, and trusted and empathetic administration — the committee finalized 74 campaign pledge projects and their implementation plans.

Key projects include establishing a Bonghwa-gun development corporation, creating a sixth-industry agricultural complex, developing a forest recreation and healing complex, pursuing an international garden expo, and building renewable energy-based solar income villages.

The committee also proposed policies to advance county governance, including drafting a master plan to address population decline, expanding support for elderly farmers, and developing a therapeutic agriculture complex.

The committee plans to include the direction and priority tasks for the 9th term's core projects in its activity white paper.

Choi Ki-young, the Bonghwa-gun county chief-elect, said "the most important value in the 9th elected term is the residents themselves," adding that he would "make Bonghwa shine again by building on the many tasks decided by the future preparatory committee."
